Jennifer Ann Slater

Jennifer Ann Slater, 47 of Imperial Beach, passed away from cancer on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home.

Many people may remember her as Jennifer Rector. She was born Feb. 13, 1973 in San Diego. She attended and graduated from Mar Vista High School and went on to Southwestern College.

In 2001 Jennifer married Larry Slater in San Diego. Larry brought his son Devyn, then 2, into their union and seven years later they added twin girls, Samantha and Taylor, currently 17. Jennifer’s family also grew to include their dog named Lily.

Jennifer worked at Ace Village Hardware in Coronado for 25 years. For fun, she spent time playing bunco twice a month with her two bunco groups. She will be remembered for her passion for her family and her love of all things Disney.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry; her children Devyn, Samantha and Taylor; her parents John and Patti and step-mother Cookie; her brother Bobby; and her special friend, Janice. She is also survived by her many family members in New Mexico and Imperial Beach.

A celebration of life for Jennifer is to be determined.
