Bobbie was born in Coleman, Texas, to Carl and Ethel Stewart. She grew up in Texas, Arizona and California.
Bobbie met the love of her life, Jim, in Long Beach, California. A romance quickly ensued and they were married on Aug. 29, 1953.
Bobbie and Jim were the proud parents of Jim, Larry, Lori and Kim.
Bobbie had numerous hobbies; she enjoyed craft projects of any kind, interior decorating, playing cards, cruising, road trips and making beautiful scrapbooks for her kids and grandkids that will be treasured for years. Bobbie loved attending live theater/plays and lunches with the ladies. She managed the Child Care Center on the Navy Base and then worked for the Navy Exchange office for 32 years.
Bobbie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Jim. Her favorite times were when all her kids and grandchildren would gather for holidays, barbecues and celebrations. She treasured every moment spent with family. She was so proud of them all.
She is preceded in death by her son Jim Hartley; and her parents Carl Stewart and Ethel Stewart. Bobbie is survived by her husband James Hartley; her children Lori Ferran, Larry (Gloria) Hartley, Kim (Ben) Morris; daughter in law Linda Hartley Aragona; grandchildren Jimmy Hartley, Carly Strand, Justin Hartley, Casey Ferran, Kyle Morris, Dustin Morris, Janelle Hartley, and Jessica Frankenberger; great grandchildren Ethan Hartley, Trevor Hartley,Dylan Hartley, Bella Hartley,Jackson Strand, Evelyn Strand, Alana Sorenson,Erin Frankenberger, Dani Frankenberger, Elliot Frankenberger; and her brother Freddie Stewart.
Services were held last Saturday, May 26.
