John David Morris, age 56, passed away in his sleep on Sept. 27th, 2018 of heart complications.
He and his wife, Wendy Morris, of 34 years raised two sons, Tucker and Alexander, and a daughter, Fletcher.
He was born in Minnesota. After completing his education at Gustavus Adolphus and the University of Minnesota, John started a family and moved to California to begin a successful career as a sales and marketing executive for a number of tech firms.
John was able to combine his love of sailing, the ocean, and entertaining during his latter years at his home in Imperial Beach.
John was an ambitious man, a musician, a traveler, an entertainer, a father, a son, and a husband among many other things. He will be remembered for his remarkable presence in every room he occupied, his optimism, and his ingenuity. His passion for music has been passed along to his children as well as his love for others, his drive, and his faith.
A service will be held for John at 10 a.m. at the Chula Vista Presbyterian Church, 940 Hilltop Drive, Chula Vista, on Thursday, Oct. 18.
