Jack Joseph Corbin

Jack passed while enjoying life on a cruise to South America. Born in Springfield, Ohio to Albert and Grace Corbin, he was one of three children. Jack joined the US Army in 1948 and served two enlistments until 1955. Jack was a Korean War veteran with the 24th Infantry. Jack married Irene Adams in 1952 and they had two children. After the Army and a divorce, Jack moved back to Springfield for a short time and later settled in San Diego area where he met his second wife, Avis Boegen. He worked in the civil service on North Island for the Navy as a warehouseman and forklift operator from 1971 to 1992.

Jack is preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Martha and brother Lee; and his second wife Avis Boegen Corbin. He is survived by his first wife, Irene; his two sons, Stephen and wife Paula, James and his wife,Vickie; four grandchildren, Joseph, Stefanie, Lydia and Noah; and two great grandchildren, Bryson and Tanner McInnerney.

Services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery, Dec. 29, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the VFW Post 5477.
