Fourth Of July Bike Parade ...

Imperial Beach residents gathered for the unofficial annual Fourth of July bike parade, decked out in red, white and blue. This was the first Fourth of July bike parade since 2019, since the pandemic canceled last year’s event. Approximately 1,000 kids, teens, and adults rode bikes, scooters and skateboards, beginning at the front of Mar Vista High School, looping Seacoast Drive along Palm, the Strand and Carnation Avenue, finishing at party central on Date Avenue for a pancake breakfast. The Pomatto, Garland, and Woodard families are among the thousand bicyclists that turned out for the 2021 Fourth of July IB Bike Parade.
