Effective April 22, 2020, until further notice, there will be a limited reopening of Imperial Beach neighborhood parks for local residents only.

Parks that will open with limitations will be Dunes Park; Portwood Pier Plaza; Reama Park; Rose Teeple Park; Sports Park; and Veterans Park. These will be open for individual exercise, walking and jogging. To be able to use these parks there are some requirements. There must be physical distancing of at least 6 feet. Individuals need to wear facial coverings and keep moving (no sitting or standing). Anyone with a cough, fever or symptoms of COVID-19 are prohibited.

Prohibited uses are active sports, organized activities, groups or gatherings, stationary activities, off-leash dogs and parking.

Other areas are still closed such as beach areas, Imperial Beach Pier, Tijuana Estuary, Borderfield State Park, Dog Park, Skatepark, soccer fields, Recreation Center, Little League and Girls Softball fields, playgrounds, restrooms (except for Pier Plaza), and all parking lots.
