The San Diego Commission on the Status of Women and Girls (CSW&G) announces its 4th Annual Symposium to take place on Saturday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the AZ Auditorium at Qualcomm, 10155 Pacific Heights Blvd. San Diego, CA 92121. The Symposium is free and open to the public and addresses the status of violence against women and girls in San Diego County with a focus on Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence. Join Imperial Beach’s Commissioner Leah Goodwin, event chair, for this Symposium.

This is the Fourth Annual Symposium by the Commission with the objective of bringing together major organizations focused on women’s rights, social services, community affairs, public service, health rights, and individuals interested in supporting the continued effort to raise awareness, increase prevention and education, and reduce the number of victims in San Diego County. This year The Symposium has the honor of welcoming District Attorney Summer Stephan as our keynote speaker, a powerful advocate for protecting women, children and families and providing justice to the voiceless and most vulnerable. Stephan is a national leader in the fight against sexual exploitation, and human trafficking. She has served San Diego County prior to 2018 as a Deputy District Attorney for 28 years.

This program is sponsored in part by Qualcomm, The Lynch Foundation and El Latino Newspaper and Celebrando Latinas Magazine. Sponsorship opportunities are available. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is highly recommended, visit
