During these extraordinary times, the South Bay National Night Out (NNO) will be focusing on a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. Vaccinations are free, no insurance necessary. No proof of residency, immigration status or work status required.

The clinic will be operated by Sharp HealthCare and is available on Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., at the Robert Egger, Sr. - South Bay Recreation Center, 1885 Coronado Avenue, San Diego, CA 92154.

If you received your first Pfizer-BioNTech (Pfizer) COVID-19 vaccine dose on Aug. 10, you will be able to get your second one on Aug. 31. If you already have received your first Pfizer-BioNTech (Pfizer) Covid-19 vaccine dose from another location and can verify the appropriate date with the appropriate time requirement either through your White CDC vaccination card or an electronic record, you may receive your second one on either August date.

You will need to bring an ID that shows your full name, if 18 or older, such as a driver’s license, ID card, school or work ID, membership card, passport, library card, etc. For minors, 12-17 years old, they can only receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. If a parent, legal guardian or relative caregiver is present at the time of the vaccination, proof of age or ID will not be required. A parental consent from must be completed onsite.

If a relative, caregiver or legal guardian is not present at the time of the vaccination, and appointment must be made beforehand. No walk ins by an unaccompanied minor will be accepted. A parental consent form must be filled out in advance and must be submitted at the time of vaccination. Consent forms can be accessed at www.sandiego.gov/covid-19-vaccination.

To make the event more fun, raffle prizes will be given out. Rally’s is also donating hamburgers and fries to those who get vaccinated on Aug. 31. Free raffle prizes include, for example, Apple iPads, 55” 4K TV, Wireless Home Surveillance System w/8 Cameras & DVR, College Back Packs, and more for those vaccinated on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Appointments are recommended at www.myturn.ca.gov., however, walk-Ins are welcome. A mask must be worn, covering your nose and mouth at the event. For more information, email r27rodel@gmail.com.
