September 12 - October 10, 2020

Various binational online events

The 11th Annual Tijuana River Action Month (TRAM) will be mostly virtual this year with a variety of online workshops, livestreams, contests, backyard clean-ups, and more. TRAM is a series of education and stewardship events held during September and October to benefit the Tijuana River Watershed.

During the month-long event, Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve is hosting several livestream and webinar events:

The Reserve’s weekly Facebook livestream, Lunchtime Live, Tuesdays at 12 p.m., will broadcast from various locations in the Tijuana River Valley.

The usual, in-person Tour of the Reserve is now being offered as four Thursday evening 7 p.m. live webinar presentations, starting Sept. 17.

The volunteer event for National Public Lands Day, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. will be a livestream planting demo and talk.

We are also encouraging people to join I Love a Clean San Diego for clean ups around their neighborhood. Register at cleanupday.org on Sept. 26. This is a great way to promote a community cleanup, with social distancing, around the Tijuana River watershed and coastal border region. In past years, Site Captains would lead gatherings but this year to prioritize safety, individuals are encouraged to clean up around their neighborhoods.

All TRAM events can be found at the Tijuana River Action Network’s Facebook page .
