In October the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is challenging their followers to walk, run, or stroll 5K on behalf of the National Wildlife Refuge System – because it’s good for you and for them!

Walk for the Wild focuses on empowering people to spend more time outside. The goal is to get people moving a distance of 5K or 3.1 miles in nature starting on Urban Wildlife Conservation Day (October 9, 2021) through the end of National Wildlife Refuge Week (October 10-16, 2021).
