If you haven’t seen it in person or heard about it yet, the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation recently opened a 79 acre campground at the base of Spooner’s Mesa in the Tijuana River Valley adjacent to the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve.

The campground consists of 51 campsites, 10 yurts, a Nature Education Center, and provides access to over 22 miles of trails.
