Volunteers are needed to help make Love Bug pillows. These pillows are being donated to the District Attorneys new facility for traumatized children who have been trafficked to abused or to any child that has experienced some type of trauma that has impacted their behavior.

The workshop to make these Love Bug pillows will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the 10th Street Church of Christ, 640 10th Street, from 1 to 4 p.m. Help will be needed for: cutting out the pattern - two 17” circles, three rectangles and two eyes; ironing fabric; machine sewing (please bring your machine) around one 16” circle and two 1” eyes; hand stitching a 5” closure on the pillow; writing an encouraging message to be placed in the wing of the Love Bug for the child.

Donations are also requested. Donations of fabric, (at least 17” X 17” or 9” X 16” in size); stuffing or batting; rickrack or ribbon or other (at least 6” long) for four little Love Bug legs. This would be much appreciated.

If you would like to volunteer, or if you have questions, please reach Penny Drozd at pennyisnot@cox.net or call Joann Barrow at 619-920-8041.
