On May 6, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the City of Imperial Beach will partner with EDCO to host the annual Homefront Cleanup for Imperial Beach residents.
Free paper shredding and document destruction available. EDCO will accept the following items free of charge: Appliances, furniture, yard waste, metal, concrete, office paper, asphalt, home improvement debris, and e-waste. Absolutely no items containing a hazardous waste such as gasoline in old lawn mowers will be accepted unless the hazardous waste has been removed. Hazardous wastes must be properly disposed of at Imperial Beach’s designated Household Hazardous Waste Facility located in Chula Vista (619-691-5122).
Seniors or physically disabled residents, who are unable to transport trash to the cleanup, can call (619) 287-7555 and schedule a pickup at their home. Items must be placed at the curb and are limited to five (5) bulky items per household. For more information contact: Public Works at (619) 424-4095, warellano@imperialbeachca.gov.
