Imperial Beach South Bay Kiwanis Club ...

On May 29, The Imperial Beach South Bay Kiwanis Club honored two students with scholarships. On Memorial Day weekend, at the Charreda, held at Jara Ranch, Council Member, Vivian Moreno, presented the Kiwanis scholarship checks to Camila Pérez and Joselyn Martínez of Mar Vista High School.

Joselyn, Kiwanis Key Club President, was instrumental in supporting AVID and fundraising for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) and UNICEF. She will be attending UCR (Riverside).

Camila was a campus leader and AVID tutor. She will be attending CalPoly (Pomona).

Both students showed commitment to creating positive role models for younger students and mentoring their pers.
