Ringing in the new year is always a time for reflection and resolutions to make the new year even better!

Although we faced construction challenges in 2019, a multi-modal outcome is just upon us. The new IB Blvd 2020 will feature safe routes for our youth to get to school by greatly improving connectivity throughout the community with wider sidewalks, additional crosswalks, improved access for persons with disabilities and safer bike lanes. A nature viewing area in front of the estuary will increase pedestrian access and promote viewing of the natural beauty IB has to offer. To keep your eye on the progress, visit ibblvd-2020.com.

We thank you for your patience during this project, and we know it hasn’t been easy because the need to update the waterline in Palm Avenue at the same time. We always want to hear how we can make IB the most authentic beach town possible. We need your eyes to help us because sometimes we just don’t see what you see.

How can you get your message to us?

If you were to Google the “Three Best Ways to Contact Imperial Beach City Hall Staff,” here is what you would find…

First, come tell us at the next Coffee with the City Manager at Central Elementary, 1290 Ebony Ave, on February 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Second, come let your voice be heard at a City Council Meeting held on the first and third Wednesday of the month, (Jan. 15 this month).

And third, come by City Hall, 825 Imperial Beach Boulevard; our staff is always happy to lend an ear.

If you were to Google the “Least Effective Way to Get Us Your Message?”

Social Media

We don’t have staff to regularly monitor social media because we are out and about, interacting with residents, and rolling up our sleeves to improve IB. So let’s have a face to face chat or a phone call, we like hanging out with you and truly want to help!

We know sometimes life just gets too hectic to come hang out with us, so if writing us a message is your only option we understand and won’t take it personal.

Reach out to your City Manager, Andy Hall, ahall@imperialbeachca.gov.
