The surveillance cameras at the Imperial Beach stakepark have been vandalized for a second time, resulting in a temporary closure of the facility until repairs can be completed.

The City hopes to be able to complete the repairs to the surveillance cameras soon, but the park will remain closed until user safety provided by the cameras can be restored. They realize this will impact many residents that enjoy this facility for recreation, and are hopeful the few who have made poor choices will allow the repairs to be completed so we can open the skatepark again soon.

The City hopes after these repairs the park can remain operational for all residents to enjoy in the future. They have a vision for residents to have the best facilities to use because that’s what our little beach town deserves, but it’s up to the community to keep the facilities looking their best and safe for everyone.
